What Should I Read Next?

MiddlesexThat title’s not a literal question, but rather the name of a website.

This weekend I’ve been busy entertaining the Dad and the Brother, so I haven’t had time for much else, particularly in the reading department. But I did discover a new website called What Should I Read Next? And by discover, I mean Carley emailed it to me. Thanks, Carley.

Anyway, it’s a book recommendation site that invites you to type in a book or author you like and then it will suggest what you should read next. I typed in Jennifer Egan’s A Visit From The Goon Squad and got a page full of results. Some were books I’d read like Emma Donoghue’s Room and Paul Murray’s Skippy Dies, some were books I’ve been wanting to read like Jeffrey Eugenides’ Middlesex, and then there were a whole bunch of titles I was less familiar with.

Overall, the site seems like a good way to be reminded of books you might have overlooked and a way to discover new of books to explore. Good times.
